“NO TOY” DAY

WE ARE MAKING OUR OWN TOYS

WE ENJOY PLAYING WITH OUR FRIENDS

There are many goals for having a “no toy” day at our school:  getting some distance from structured games and toys; making toys out of various things and recycled materials;  showing the students that they can make their own toys, improving motor skills; enhancing creativity and imagination; and encouraging students to play group games.   To fulfill this goal, every Wednesday afternoon during free play, we are trying to create an environment where the children can play with their friends, instead of playing with the toys in the classroom.
