In the Balloon classes, we are studying penguins.  We are learning lots of new information about them, and we doing research about this. We tried to find the answer about why penguins do not get cold while living in freezing temperatures by doing an experiment.  We each put a glove on one hand, and we rubbed a bit of margarine on the other hand, and then put the second glove on that hand.  Then our teachers brought ice to the classroom and we felt the cold with both hands.  We talked about the difference between the hand with margarine on it and the other one.  Then we reached the conclusion that penguins do not get cold because they have oil on their bodies.
