Since school opened in the kindergarten, we have worked on geometric shapes. We started with a dot, connected dots with lines, and turned the lines into shapes. We learned how to categorize items around us according to their shape. We made shapes with our bodies, with toys in our classroom, with string, with rubber bands or straws.  And this week, we made geometric shaped pastry. We made triangles, squares, and rectangles with our hands and used a glass to make circular shapes.
