Social service projects are a priority for everyone at Üsküdar SEV School.  The aim of such projects is for our students to develop awareness of social responsibility at a young age and to be sensitive of those less fortunate.  In addition to promoting social awareness, an important goal is to ensure that our students take an active role in such projects.

The Uskudar SEV Schools aim to help students understand the importance of multiculturalism and the importance of blending the differences found in the world.  We hope to instill the importance of promoting world peace and of the integration of refugees.  With this in mind, our social service project for the 2016-2017 academic year was to donate school supplies to  Istanbul’s Sultangazi Bahattin Yıldiz Anatolian High School, thereby supporting the education of Syrian refugees enrolled at that school.

   ·  The stages of our project are below:

   ·  We planned craft projects made by our students to sell on World Art Day to finance this project,

   ·   At the same time, we helped our students realize the importance of social responsibility by showing the presentation “Making a Difference by Touching the Lives of  Others”  to all our classes.

Our students then put the requested items in boxes in the kindergarten corridor and were able to experience the satisfaction of fulfilling their social responsibility.
