As part of our Thinking Skills class, we had an activity which involved walking with a mirror. It was fun and educational. We focused on symmetry and asked the students to walk with a mirror. The students were asked to use their perception and perspective skills. It was both fun and difficult to complete the task. Our students were very enthusiastic and excited throughout the activity.

After they completed the task, the students visited different stations in the classroom. They created mirror images by using a shape’s symmetry axis. They also did activities focusing on pieces vs. the whole.

During this lesson, our students experienced an environment, which was both entertaining and educational.
