Throughout the year, homeroom teachers have been practicing "Second Step Improving Social-Emotional Skills and Bullying Prevention Program" with the support of our school counselors. In the scope of this program, we conducted the first week's lesson Empathy and second week's lesson Preferences and Conflicting Emotion. In the Empathy lesson, we tried to teach our students by way of animating, how manifold our feelings are and the fact that everyone can feel different emotions when they live the same situation. In the Preferences and Conflicting Emotions lesson, we talked about the issue of feeling more than one emotion at the same time. We mention that this can lead us take decisions responsibly. We also tried to explain by examples the fact that our emotions and their effects can change over time.
