This year in English Drama Club, a group of 25 fourth graders are working together to perform an adaptation of "Annie," a popular, award-winning Broadway musical. Acting and singing in a second language helps to enhance students' English fluency in a fun, creative environment. When students assume the personality and life of a character, it can provide them with an outlet for emotions, thoughts, and dreams that they might not otherwise have the means to express in their daily lives. All the while, working together as a group to perform a show develops students’ teamwork and interpersonal skills.
