During the week of April 10-14, 4^th Graders did a project entitled “Taking a Line for a Walk” in their Art Lessons.  Students first reviewed “Line” as an important Element of Art.  Then, they created an abstract composition by picking a starting point and drawing various types of lines on their paper.  Students were asked to not lift their pencil until the composition was finished, and use as many different types of lines as possible.  Once their compositions were finished, they colored in segments with brightly colored pastels.
