Üsküdar SEV 3rd graders went to Beykoz glass furnace as part of thier science lesson called “Meet the Matter”. At the beginning, the students were shown examples of fusion. During this workshop,all students were given square shaped colorless flat pieces of glass. The students composed anything they wished by making use of different colorful pieces of glass. Those were left there to be put in the oven. In the second session, a master in glass making used many glass sticks to demonstrate how to make beads. At the end, we were given flat green recycled bottles as presents. We were eager to receive our furnaced glass objects as soon as possible.
