Muzaffer İzgü came to our school from İzmir due to our invitation for the celebrations of the Reading Festival. He told us about his childhood, his family, his school years and how proud he felt as a fourth grader after the essay he wrote to the school newspaper attracted attention. He told us that he saw Atatürk when he was five and he never forgot the words during his speech: “Dear all, we’re going to work a lot”. The author who released tens of literary work in our country signed our books in the end of the conversation. We thank Muzaffer İzgü for meeting us again at another Reading Festival.
