During iPad class, our fourth graders participated in the viral internet sensation, the Mannequin Challenge. The Mannequin Challenge is an Internet video trend where people remain frozen in action like mannequins while a moving camera films them. The Mannequin Challenge began with a group of high school students in the United States. It has become so popular that celebrities, entire sports teams, and even politicians have participated. The theme for our video was “crazy classroom,” to prepare the students for our next novel, Sideways Stories from Wayside School, a funny book about a class full of very silly students in a crazy, unconventional school.
