What is World Scholar’s Cup?
World Scholar’s Cup, organized in 41 countries around the world, has been held since 2007. The purpose of the organization is to create a global setting for the scholars and the leaders of the future and to enable students to discover their new skills and strengths that they are not aware of. Besides, the most focused subject is to get students debate and write compositions about today’s and future’s ideas and situations by uniting together different cultures.
Students compete in three-student teams at the World Scholar’s Cup. The tournament is composed of four basic sections. "The Scholar's Challenge, Collaborative Writing, The Team Debate and The Scholar's Bowl”. In addition to these sections, social and academic sections can also take part in some of the tournaments.
Teams ranking among the top 10 at regional tournament, organized in many countries around the world, qualify to join in the World Tournament in the end of June. Those who also succeed in that tournament qualify to participate in Tournament of Champions held at Yale University every November.
