Our 4th grade students wore their pajamas while reading “The Polar Express” story. It was a great chance for them to learn the difference between Christmas and New Year during our Winter Festival activities through a theme-based learning opportunity. At the beginning of the week, they were surprised by the classroom door and corridor decorations which created curiosity towards the theme and the upcoming lessons. The whole week was filled with theme-based activities where they had a chance to experience how it would be to be a character in “The Polar Express”. The final touch was watching the film to sum up the week.
