JMUN is a project in which elementary students aged 11-14 discuss topics of interest to United Nation member countries, develop solutions to problems and learn about how the UN functions.

Students from participating schools each represent a different UN country during the simulation of the UN general assembly, in which they must act according to the opinions of the country that has been allocated to them. The conference is organized according to official UN protocol and as such students learn about proceedings and debates at parliamentary level. During the conference all of the decision-making, lobbying activities and debates are carried out in English.

Every year our school’s JMUN Team, made up of students in grades 6-8, participates in conferences both in Turkey and abroad and host JMUN Conferences.

SEV Middle School also qualified to have THIMUN accreditation which is given just 5 middle school all over the world.
