The universe cannot be read until we have learnt the language and become familiar with the characters in which it is written. It is written in mathematical language, and the letters are triangles, circles and other geometrical figures, without which means it is humanly impossible to comprehend a single word.
Galileo
As Galileo emphasized, mathematics is a tool for understanding the world and improving the environment in which we live.
The Ministry of Education curriculum is followed and our students are expected to acquire the following skills:

Our lessons are designed to be student-centered based on students’ own notes. 8th grade lessons are divided into MAT 1 and MAT 2, and detailed work is carried out within the scope of LGS.
The Math Department supports students who are interested in mathematics and aims to improve their mathematical skills with Math Challenge Academic Teams the Math Games Club for activities such as sudoku. We follow national and international competitions, events and exhibitions organized throughout the year such as Math Without Borders, Ecis, Caribou Math Contest, Kangaroo Math Contest and ensure the participation of our students.
Every year, as a tradition, Cahit Arf week and Pi Math Week are celebrated with competitions and activities for all grade levels.
