"Music is the joy, spirit, joy and everything of life."

"Music is not a part of life, it is life itself. In other words, 'Life is music.' The only being that has anything to do with music is the human being. A life without music does not exist anyway."

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      Mustafa Kemal Atatürk

We hear the world before we see it. From infancy, we use sound to develop our rhythm and movement skills. Later in life, we discover music in its cultural and artistic sense. If we are talented and interested, we can even build our whole life on music.

Everyone has a melody that they feel and sing within themselves. You can bring these melodies to life at our school, creating and sharing your own music. Students transform their individual creativity and group spirit into a symphony, in an environment of trust.

Our school acts with the awareness that music is as effective a tool in life as language and the core sciences. A program is implemented to enable children to speak the language of music in the most competent way that will enable them to communicate with their own inner voices and universal culture.

The music program aims to provide students with the following knowledge and skills:

- Understanding of the importance Atatürk gave to art and music,

- Powers of expression and creativity through music,

- A repertoire of songs, folk songs and anthems with monophonic and polyphonic value, starting from their own environment and gradually developing in line with their abilities and age levels,

- Basic concepts such as note reading and writing, solfege, and music signs,

- The ability to hear, listen and use their voice,

- Recognition of rhythm and movement, voice and body harmony,

- Choosing a branch instrument that suits his/her interest and talent and developing himself/herself with the right technique and training until the end of the 8th grade,

- Knowledge of national and universal music genres, works and composers,

- Understanding the originality of a piece of music by examining the composer and his/her life,

- The ability to express their feelings through music,

- Experience of the use of music as a language in group work,

- Utilizing technological tools in music,

- Performance experience - by presenting a piece of music created or performed,

- Making music a way of life.

Our goal is to create the infrastructure of a modern society that values art and artists, to develop and guide our students according to their interests and skills in the field of music, to gain the skills and habits of playing a musical instrument and listening to quality music, to make music a lifestyle by creating working environments (choirs, orchestras and music groups) that enable students to socialize.

Students in all grades continue the instrument lessons (Piano, Violin, Guitar, Guitar and Rhythm and Percussion) that they began in previous years in our music classes. The productivity and creativity of our students is essential in these classes. They are provided with a wide repertoire of works suitable to their level.

Musicology Research Projects aim to enable students to conduct research on music science and specialize in music literacy. Making use of modern technology, they study national and universal music history to recognize important composers of the periods and make presentations about their work.

Students follow all kinds of innovations related to art, add various choral works compiled from different cultures to their repertoire, and gain knowledge of the use of melodic and rhythmic instruments. They also work on popular works from world music in our guitar, and violin orchestras and our choir as well as with the guidance of the piano and rhythm percussion teachers.

Traditionally, the end-of-year concerts, prepared by our violin, guitar, piano and rhythm and percussion students every year with great care and professionalism, provide a visual and auditory feast for the audience.
