We celebrated  “Magosto”,  or the festival of chestnuts.  It’s a traditional festival celebrated in the North of Spain every year. It is usually depicted with the figure of a castanyera: an old lady dressed in peasant's clothing.  She is wearing a headscarf and sitting behind a table roasting chestnuts for a street sale.

The Spanish students enjoyed watching a video, reading poems and singing songs about the festival. They also made posters and  decorated the school with their wonderful work.
