On September 23rd, the Sun appears at both polar points. Day and night times on Earth are equal. The date is the beginning of a six-month night period at the south pole and a six-month day period at the north pole. September 23rd is the autumn equinox in the northern hemisphere.

In our school, which aims to educate individuals who are curious about the changes on our planet, “SEVEkinoks” Awareness Activity was held in science course for the equinox which occurs twice a year. Within the scope of this activity; information was provided through informative videos, songs and worksheets about the subject.

In the northern hemisphere where our country is located; on this special day where 12 hours of day and 12 hours of night were experienced, our students and teachers came to the school with “black and white” clothing combinations to raise awareness.
