In October 2019, the JMUN (Junior Model United Nations) team participated in the 14th annual JMUN conference at Hisar Schools located in Göktürk. JMUN is a conference that mirrors the interaction and diplomacy of a real United Nations meeting. The theme of the conference was “Protecting Freedom in the Global Age” and each of our committees talked about and tried to solve problems connected with this theme.
Our team of twelve worked very hard to prepare themselves for their committees and they represented our given delegation, the UK, very well. The conference was also an opportunity for our students to meet some of their peers from other schools around Istanbul. We are very happy to once again be participating in JMUN, and we look forward to next year’s conference.
